About Department of Defence
Digital Learning Solutions Directorate partners with Groups, Services and Job Family Sponsors to
understand business intent and provide cost effective learning and development solutions to meet
capability requirements and improve business performance. The Directorate comprises of a team
who support the uplift in capability across Defence through the production and support of
enterprise learning solutions.
Our Hosting Platforms team support our enterprise learning systems, LXP (Totara Learn) and
LinkedIn Learning. The team is responsible for quality assurance and system testing, and
supporting system users and administrators to achieving their required outcomes while responding
to a range of diverse enquiries.

of tools to aid in carrying out your work such as Microsoft Office tools and other IT systems.
Key skills and knowledge to demonstrate in your application are to include:
Experience as an effective leader and manager of a team.
Highly effective communication skills (written and oral) with a variety of internal and external
stakeholders.
Ability to troubleshoot a wide range of technical problems and mitigate emerging issues.
Technical knowledge of eLearning products and services and their deployment through
Learning Management Systems (knowledge of Totara Learn LMS is highly desirable).
Experience supervising all tasks related to managing a helpdesk and support team.
Ability to critically analyse data and information to provide recommendations and insights to
support continuous improvement.
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.

- The Role
- The Learning & Development Platform Support Manager plays an integral part in the
- administration and support of our enterprise learning platforms. The Learning & Development
- Platform Support Manager is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex
- ICT service provision in an integrated workforce. Using effective stakeholder engagement
- strategies and techniques, the Learning & Development Platform Support Manager will sustain
- effective relationships to meet business requirements.
- The Learning & Development Platform Support Manager is an effective leader who will set work
- priorities and manage workflows. The Learning & Development Platform Support Manager is
- expected to build capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work by
- others.
