Duties
- About the Role
- This role is part of a small geographically-dispersed team led by the Director Governance within
- the Office of the CEO.
- The successful candidate will work under the general direction of the Assistant Director
- Governance and be part of a motivated, supportive, and high-achieving team that has overall
- responsibility for governance, integrity, and risk within the Commission.
- Working closely with all areas of the Commission, you will assist the team in providing support,
- advice and management of a range of internal and external governance activities including
- strategic planning and performance reporting, parliamentary and ministerial engagement,
- legislative compliance, and secretariat functions. You may also have the opportunity to work with
- the team on integrity and risk-related projects.
- Key activities of this position include:
- coordinating the Commission’s response to external requests for information or submissions.
- This includes managing, monitoring and prioritising incoming and outgoing correspondence
- from the group inboxes, referring or escalating matters as appropriate, and associated
- record keeping.
- secretariat services for internal committees including meeting coordination, finalising
- agendas and minutes, monitoring and updating action item registers, quality assurance and
- preparation of papers, and attendance at committee meetings when required.
- supporting the management of the Commission’s Parliamentary Document Management
- System (PDMS) user accounts and the workflow of documents in PDMS.

- supporting the Commission’s engagement with the parliament by supporting Commission
- witnesses preparing for parliamentary committee appearances and supporting the
- coordination of the Commission’s response to questions on notice.
- supporting the development and maintenance of Commission frameworks, policies,
- procedures and guidance documents, and monitoring compliance with these across the
- agency.
- maintaining key governance registers that guide the Commission’s compliance regime.
- assisting with the preparation of statutory reports such as the corporate plan and annual
- report.
- undertaking quality assurance processes on a range of internal and external documents and
- providing high-level administrative support.
- engaging with stakeholders at a range of levels, including senior executives and statutory
- office holders, to provide support on governance related matters.
Eligibility / Notes
- Employment with the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) is subject to the following
- conditions:
- Citizenship – Applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- Security Clearance – This is a Designated Security Assessment Position (DSAP). The
- occupant of this position must obtain and retain an AGSVA security clearance to the
- specified level.
- Suitability assessment – The NACC must be satisfied that successful applicants are of
- suitable character. They must undergo a rigorous pre-employment suitability screening
- process that can be intrusive in nature including (but not limited to) detailed background,
- character, employment, police, and financial checks.
- Probation – A probation period will apply to any new ongoing engagement to the Australian
- Public Service.
