About your team: The Service Operations team sits within the Service Delivery Group and focuses on tenancy, landlord and property management, asset and maintenance coordination, and customer service. You’ll join a collaborative workforce that values professional development, clear communication, and delivering reliable housing support across diverse regions.

Duties (What You Will Do)

Key Responsibilities Specific Tasks
Property inspections and maintenance coordination Schedule and conduct property inspections; coordinate repairs with contractors; monitor compliance and standards.
Tenant interactions and service delivery Respond to tenant inquiries; provide timely updates on works; manage bookings and allocations for DHA housing.
Financial management Monitor expenses; track budgets; ensure cost-effective maintenance within policy and legislation.
Stakeholder engagement Coordinate with regional offices, Defence liaisons, contractors, and external panel of repairs and maintenance providers.
Asset and tenancy management Support asset management planning; ensure standardised processes for repairs and tenancy activities.
Reporting and compliance Prepare reports on property performance; ensure compliance with DHA policies and relevant standards.
Work under pressure Operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and service quality.

About You (Eligibility)

  • Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level.
  • Valid Driver Licence (required).
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with capability to interpret information and generate actionable insights.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to quickly develop knowledge of DHA processes and policy context.
  • Soft skills: teamwork, adaptability, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Technical proficiency in property management practices and administrative systems; basic budgeting and reporting skills.
