The Property Manager will oversee DHA’s regional housing assets, handling inspections, maintenance coordination, tenancy interactions and expense monitoring. On a day-to-day basis you’ll inspect properties, coordinate repairs with contractors, liaise with tenants and internal stakeholders, and ensure properties meet required standards while aligning with policy and budget targets.

Duties (What You Will Do)

Property inspections and compliance Conduct regular property inspections; document issues; verify tenancy compliance with standards and legislation.
Maintenance coordination Coordinate repairs with national panel of contractors; monitor progress and quality; manage cost controls.
Tennancy and stakeholder liaison Maintain positive tenant relations; respond to tenancy queries; coordinate postings and allocations as needed.
Financial oversight Monitor expenses against budget; prepare usage and maintenance reports; support asset management planning.
Compliance and reporting Ensure adherence to relevant legislation and DHA standards; generate clear reports for leadership.
Team and process support Collaborate with Service Operations colleagues; contribute to asset management strategies and process improvements.

About You (Eligibility)

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder engagement is a core capability.
  • Experience in property management, facilities or tenancy services is desirable.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data and produce clear reports.
  • Driver Licence (note: required for the role).
  • Technically proficient with common office software (e.g., MS Office); familiarity with property management systems is beneficial.
