About Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC)

The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) is Australia’s national criminal intelligence agency. Our vision is an
Australia hostile to criminal exploitation. We work with our national and international partners to conduct investigations and collect
intelligence to combat serious and organised crime, cybercrime and national security threats. We develop and maintain national
information and intelligence sharing services and systems for use by state, territory and Commonwealth law enforcement agencies.
We also deliver nationwide background checking services to support employment or entitlement decisions to keep the Australian
community safe. The ACIC Board provides strategic direction to the ACIC and represents Commonwealth, state and territory law
enforcement and other regulatory agencies. Our purpose is to protect Australia from criminal threats through coordinating a
strategic response and collecting, assessing and disseminating intelligence and policing information.

Duties

  • As a Director, National Building and Business Support Hub you will:
  • Lead all property projects and leasing arrangements from planning, through initiation, delivery to
  • completion
  • Lead property lease negotiations
  • Lead and coordinate procurement processes and Whole of Australian Government requirements,
  • including procurement compliant with the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules, as
  • well as submissions to the PWC and other Finance requirements
  • Manage the contract and relationship for the whole of government property services provider,
  • and ensure that all ACIC’s facilitates are operational and functional.
  • Champion the Environmental Sustainability function, driving change to meet ACIC’s sustainability
  • targets
  • Oversee the national Business Support team to deliver high quality support to ACIC staff in a
  • timely and nationally standardised way
  • Manage budgets and staffing nationally
  • Lead and manage development of relevant strategies, policies and procedures
  • Your skills and capabilities
  • We invite applications from people with the following experience, skills and attributes:
  • Demonstrates experience and a proven ability in a senior property or facilities management role,
  • including an ability to lead a team in the delivery of services.
  • Has demonstrated leading medium to large scale property fit out projects, including governance,
  • project management, procurement, design, and delivery.
  • Demonstrated skills relating to the development and implementation of agile workplace practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead business support functions in a national setting.
  • Possesses highly-developed interpersonal skills and proven written and oral communication
  • skills of a high standard.
  • Demonstrates well-developed analytical skills and proven ability to use a positive and proactive
  • approach to problem solving.
  • Has sound judgement, a high level of initiative, flexibility and the ability to set the direction for a
  • team.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational and time management skills.

Eligibility / Notes

  • – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian Citizenship
  • citizen.
  • – The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the Security Clearance
  • highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and
  • maintain a minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
