Duties

  • This is where you play an important role.
  • As the Property Services Officer, the duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
  • contributing to a small team responsible for delivering property and business services across the
  • portfolio
  • developing and maintaining effective working relationships with the department’s Property
  • Service Provider and building occupants, including identifying property needs, raising and
  • monitoring reactive maintenance requests, and escorting service providers as required
  • assisting in coordinating access, inductions and site safety requirements for contractors and
  • service providers, in line with WHS obligations
  • supporting the monitoring of service delivery performance and maintain productive relationships
  • with building managers, clients, contractors, and staff at all levels
  • delivering a high standard of client service in line with departmental expectations
  • communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including managing shared
  • mailboxes, coordinating responses to enquiries, and escalating issues where appropriate
  • maintaining accurate and up-to-date information, including updating documentation to reflect
  • changes to processes and policies
  • undertaking administrative activities, including procurement, record-keeping, and governance
  • tasks
  • supporting compliance with relevant policies, procedures and contractual obligations, including
  • the Whole of Government Property Service Provider arrangements.
  • providing support for minor projects, refurbishments or relocations, including coordination of
  • stakeholders, logistics and communications
  • identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in property and business service processes,
  • and contribute to implementing improvements
  • actively engaging in ongoing learning and development to support personal performance, team
  • objectives and broader branch outcomes.
  • Please note that the merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a
  • period of eighteen months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service
  • Gazette, may also be used to fill future ongoing vacancies in the branch where the duties are of a
  • similar nature.

  • Our ideal candidate will have:
  • a demonstrated experience in a service centred role with a strong focus on customer service and
  • stakeholder management
  • a comprehensive understanding of The Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act
  • 2013
  • experience using Microsoft Suite applications.
