Duties
- lead teams that provide expert advice to the Minister and departmental executive on
- program and policy development relating to children, families and communities
- drive strategic policy and system reform, including stakeholder engagement, evidence-based
- approaches, and a strong focus on prevention, early intervention, and outcomes for families
- and communities
- use policy expertise and insights from targeted programs to identify opportunities to promote
- stronger and more resilient families, children, individuals and families
- identify opportunities and oversee the delivery of policies and programs that meet
- government priorities, achieve outcomes and facilitate stakeholder cooperation, including
- financial management, performance, and continuous improvement of service delivery
- models and funded initiatives
- build a culture which promotes expert knowledge in relevant areas and provide advice and
- technical expertise to guide project and program activities
- anticipate and identify policy issues, undertake research and analysis, and recommend
- solutions to policy questions.
