This role involves managing and maintaining our Exchange and cloud services everyday. About the Opportunity

The Information Division supports the department’s ICT infrastructure and services, including cloud services, network support, ICT project management, and information governance. You’ll be part of a team that is pushing the boundaries of technology to create innovative solutions. As part of the Core Services section, you’ll design, implement, and manage messaging and device management solutions with a focus on security, performance and scalability. This role sits at the centre of our information age strategy, offering opportunities to grow technically while contributing to a secure and efficient public service.

Duties (What You Will Do)

Key Responsibilities Specific Tasks
MDM Platform Administration Configure and maintain MDM solutions to manage device enrolment, policies, and applications for Ivathi and Intune.
Exchange Management Configure Exchange mailbox policies to enforce security settings (on-premises and online).
Device Lifecycle Management Provision, deploy, maintain and decommission mobile devices.
Security Policy Enforcement Develop and implement mobile security policies to protect corporate data.
Troubleshooting Resolve complex technical issues related to mobile device connectivity and email synchronicity.
Performance Monitoring Conduct monitoring and optimisation to ensure high availability and reliability.
Staying Current Keep up‑to‑date with emerging network technologies and threats to enhance security posture.

About You (Eligibility)

  • Experience as an Exchange Administrator or similar role.
  • Knowledge of Messaging and MDM services.
  • Experience with security measures and best practices.
  • Experience with Defender, Microsoft 365 and Purview.
  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell).
  • Proficiency in performance monitoring and optimisation tools.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and threats.
