About National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality
The DART and Enabling Services Division is responsible for the day-to-day operations of
corporate enabling functions including the NDIS Commission’s governance, finance, audit and risk
and information and communications technology (ICT).
The Division is also responsible for the delivery of the Data and Regulatory Transformation
(DART) program, which will deliver a connected suite of modern digital systems that strengthens
regulatory capability and supports a more proactive, efficient, and intelligenceled regulator. By
improving the way participant and provider interactions are identified and understood, DART will
enable earlier detection of risk, faster regulatory responses, and betterinformed decisionmaking
across the regulatory lifecycle.
People with disability are at the core of DART’s design. The program will enhance safeguarding
for NDIS participants, strengthen regulation of providers and workers, and reduce unnecessary
regulatory burden through clearer, more streamlined digital interactions. Improved cyber security is
a foundational element of the program, ensuring personal and sensitive data is protected in line
with Commonwealth standards while supporting a safer, more sustainable NDIS market.

Duties
- Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Cloud Governance and Orchestration: Design, configure and manage the AWS Landing
- Zone using AWS Control Tower and Organisations. Ensuring that all Landing Zone services
- and configuration is standardised, automated, and protected by consistent guardrails.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain robust Terraform modules to deploy
- complex infrastructure, ensuring that all changes are version-controlled and deployed via
- CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced Networking: Manage the cloud network connectivity including Transit Gateways,
- hybrid connectivity (VPN/Direct Connect) and private service communication via PrivateLink
- and Route 53.
- Security and Compliance: Implement a multi-layered security posture aligned with zero-trust
- networking principles. You will be responsible for centralised identity management,
- encryption, and the deployment of monitoring tools like Security Hub, GuardDuty, and AWS
- Config to maintain continuous visibility and compliance with standards such as the ISM and
- Essential 8.
