About National Native Title Tribunal

The National Native Title Tribunal (NNTT) is an authority established by the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) (NTA) which has offices in
four Australian States. The NNTT comprises a President and members, who are appointed by the Governor General under the
NTA to make decisions, conduct inquiries, reviews, and mediations, and assist various parties. The NNTT is supported by the
Native Title Registrar (Registrar), who has separate and specific functions and responsibilities to perform under the Native Title Act,
including considering native title claimant applications (claims) and indigenous land use agreements (ILUAs) for registration. The
Federal Court of Australia entity engages employees under the Public Service Act 1999 to support the Federal Court, the FCFCOA
(Divisions 1 and 2), and the National Native Title Tribunal. Established by the 2016 Courts Administration Legislation Amendment
