Duties
- Your Duties and Responsibilities
- The primary objectives of the Senior Manager Nuclear Assurance are;
- Provide strategic and operational leadership, inspiring direction and development of
- capability in people, systems and processes. Delivering the assurance activities from the
- safety, reliability and assurance (SRA) process outcomes in new and innovative ways as a
- champion of continuous improvement.
- Ensuring processes can be operationalised in an effective manner, minimising impost on
- Business Units. Support and identify opportunities to streamline cross divisional safety
- processes.
- Support the Chief Nuclear Officer (CNO).
- Act as the deputy and delegate for the Chief Nuclear Officer during periods of leave and
- other times as necessary to ensure continuity of process.
- Manages Line 2 nuclear and radiological assurance activities/initiatives across the ANSTO
- Group adding value through risk reduction and increased organisational sustainability, the
- line 2 works include systems, structures and components, nuclear safety reviews, nuclear
- baseline and safety, reliability and assurance periodic reviews.
- Sponsor for key nuclear related initiatives and projects as agreed with the CNO / CEO
- Advocate, communicate and educate key stakeholders regarding the importance of safe,
- secure and sustainable nuclear science and technology.
