Duties
- ASD 4 & 5 Cloud Engineer ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in ICT solutions across hybrid and commercial cloud.
- Understanding of network, security, storage and system engineering/solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages.
- Knowledge of automation tools like AWS Cloud Formation, Terraform or Ansible and
- containerisation using Docker or Kubernetes.
- Utilizing tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline to streamline development
- workflows.
- Ensuring compliance with national security regulations.
- Have a desire to work in a dynamic environment and willingness to learn.
- Display adaptability and a positive, inclusive attitude.
- In addition to the above attributes, the ideal candidate will ASD 6 Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
- have:
- Strong experience in network, security, storage and system engineering/solutions.
- Expertise in automation tools like AWS Cloud Formation, Terraform or Ansible and
- containerisation using Docker or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure using relevant ASD tools.
- Ensuring cloud infrastructure adheres to governance policies and compliance requirements.
- Robust communication skills, including the ability to explain complex problems to
- management.
Eligibility / Notes
- To be eligible for employment with ASD, you must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:
- Australian Citizenship – Applicants must be an Australian citizen. Only in exceptional
- circumstances can this requirement be waivered.
- Organisational Suitability Assessment – The preferred applicant will be required to undergo
- an Organisational Suitability Assessment (see Organisational Assessment section).
- Security Clearance – It is a condition of employment that applicants are willing and able to
- obtain and maintain the requisite security clearance for the duration of their employment with
- ASD.
- Health Assessment – The preferred applicant may be required to undergo a medical
- examination conducted by the Agency’s preferred medical provider.
