About the Opportunity

The National Capital Authority (NCA) is the Australian Government agency charged with ensuring Canberra is planned, designed and managed to reflect its national significance. Duties (What You Will Do)

Duty Area Key Tasks
Operations & Administration Manage daily functions of NCA business systems; deliver high-level customer service to internal/external clients; manage status reports for ICT projects and reporting for Annual Report, Audit & Risk Committee, and other papers.
Financial & Procurement Oversight Monitor budgets, income and expenditure, accruals and monthly variances; oversee ICT contracts procurement and management.
ICT Governance & Audit Undertake ICT audit requirements; spot checks of hardware; develop SOPs; advise on ICT activities and strategic direction.
Policy & Secretariat Develop policies, SOPs, and SOP-related documentation; undertake secretariat duties and arrange ICT meetings.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement Prepare status reports for projects and reporting requirements; engage with internal/external stakeholders as required.
People & Resource Management Manage resources and performance in line with NCA policies and APS standards; participate as a constructive member of the Authority.

About You (Eligibility)

  • Demonstrated experience in contract management and project management.
  • Ability to gain and maintain a Baseline security classification (mandatory).
  • Preferred: at least 5 years’ experience in ICT or related discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
  • Ability to develop SOPs and contribute to policy and strategy development.
  • Effective in preparing reports and coordinating Secretariat tasks.
