The AESA SPO is part of the Air Defence Systems (ADS) Branch, within the Department of
Defence’s CASG. Charged with the responsibility of providing critical support to projects with an
emphasis on Joint Capability across the Australian Defence Force; the ADS Branch offers a wide

We are looking for a committed, dynamic and innovative individual to join our team. The Program
Integrity Manager will exercise initiative and judgement in the interpretation and application of
policy. They will provide detailed security advice in relation to strategic planning, program and
project management, policy development and security risk management.
To succeed in this role, applicants will be required to demonstrate:
Experience working in a protective security environment and managing project activities
Knowledge of technical security certification and accreditation in accordance with
Government policy and specifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to influence and build relationships with senior executives and a network of
stakeholders
The ability to apply critical thinking and risk-consideration to decision-making processes, and
the judgement to escalate where required

Duties

  • The Role
  • The CASG Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Systems Program Office is seeking an EL
  • 1 Program Integrity Manager to provide project management and security expertise supporting
  • AESA systems acquired through the United States Government and allied partners. The role
  • operates under broad direction to deliver complex protective security and compliance activities,
  • ensuring systems meet Commonwealth of Australia security requirements and maintain Authority
  • to Operate (ATO).
  • Key responsibilities include managing the AESA security framework, overseeing schedule, risk,
  • budget, and resources, and providing expert security advice aligned with PSPF and DSPF
  • policies. The role involves preparing briefs, reports, and submissions, evaluating program and
  • security performance, and addressing complex stakeholder needs.
  • The Program Integrity Manager builds team capability through coaching and feedback, while
  • fostering strong relationships with internal and external security organisations. Overall, the role
  • ensures effective governance, compliance, and delivery outcomes aligned with Defence
  • objectives.

Eligibility / Notes

  • Security Clearance:
  • Positive Vetting: Prior to commencement, successful applicants will be required to undergo a
  • psychological assessment and an extensive security clearance process. As a Positive Vetting
  • clearance is required, applicants must be Australian Citizens; be able to account for their personal
  • background for their whole life; and be able to demonstrate suitability to work in a high security
  • intelligence environment.
