direction to achieve complex GEOINT work. You are accountable to ensure you have knowledge

Duties
- The Role
- The Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO) is seeking highly motivated candidates
- to fill APS 6 analytical and team lead positions. Previous Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT)
- experience is not essential as formal and informal training opportunities will be made available.
- In these roles, you will:
- Lead and contribute to complex GEOINT and imagery analysis, working under limited
- direction to deliver high-quality intelligence in support of Defence and government priorities.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and mentoring to a small team, managing workflow,
- supporting capability development, and ensuring consistent tradecraft standards.
- Coordinate and ensure the quality of analytical products, ensuring outputs meet legislative,
- policy and organisational requirements.
- Prepare and deliver clear, timely and accurate intelligence assessments, briefs and advice
- for senior decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal teams and external partners,
- enabling effective collaboration and integrated intelligence outcomes.
- This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence
- Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base
- salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for
- positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. For

- Security Clearance:
- Prior to commencement, successful applicants will be required to undergo a psychological
- assessment and an extensive security clearance process. As a Positive Vetting clearance is
- required, applicants must be Australian Citizens; be able to account for their personal background
- for their whole life; and be able to demonstrate suitability to work in a high security intelligence
- environment.
