About Department of Defence
The Executive Team within SASR comprises a combination of military and civilian personnel. The
work requires us to be collaborative in all operations, activities, and organisational priorities within
the unit. This will ensure we deliver work that is effectively planned, coordinated, and executed
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working within a high tempo environment
and alongside a diverse team. They will possess a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft
Office suite and will be able to understand and apply DFG policies and procedures effectively.
The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with
an ability to build trust and maintain strong working relationships with the executive team. They will
be highly organised and capable of coordinating multiple tasks to ensure outcomes are delivered
efficiently and to a high standard.
This role is challenging and demanding offering the right candidate a rewarding challenge,
requiring someone who is adaptable, responsive, and capable of working irregular hours when
operational requirements arise.
Duties
- The Role
- The Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) Office Manager is responsible for delivering high level
- administrative management and comprehensive support to the SASR executive staff. The role
- requires the successful candidate to:
- Manage and coordinate schedules for the executive team
- Plan, coordinate, and organise key unit events and functions
- Maintain effective engagement with key stakeholders, including both ADF personnel and
- civilian partners
- Coordinate and facilitate executive bookings, appointments, and related administrative
- requirements
- The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work within a high tempo, high demand
- environment focused on achieving operational outcomes. The Office Manager must be flexible,
- adaptable, and responsive to evolving organisational requirements. This includes providing
- administrative support for tasks such as coordination of services, logistics, and the organisation
- and completion of essential duties.
- The role may require availability at short notice and can involve extended or irregular working
- hours in response to operational priorities and the dynamic nature of the position.
