Duties
- Lead and deliver complex work in user research, service design, interaction design, or
- customer strategy to improve services and outcomes for users and stakeholders.
- Apply human-centred and evidence-based approaches across discovery, research,
- co-design, prototyping, and testing to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Translate complex insights into strategic recommendations that influence service and
- product design and organisational decision-making.
- Drive and influence collaboration with stakeholders to understand business and operating
- models, systems and capabilities needed to deliver products and services.
- Lead collaboration with external and internal stakeholders to define problems, navigate
- ambiguity, and shape user-focused solutions to complex challenges.
- Provide specialist advice and support for strategic decisions, and inform the delivery of
- practical solutions.
- Represent and engage with internal and external professionals, associations, networks and
- communities.
- Champion a positive risk management culture.
- Lead and inspire staff to enhance performance and engagement by providing coaching,
- developing capabilities, managing performance and supporting health and well-being.
- Manage business objectives, establish and implement strategic priorities to achieve
- outcomes.
- Drive a culture of strategic focus to implement agency priorities.
- Exercise delegation in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
Eligibility / Notes
- Essential Requirements
- Security Clearance required: Baseline (or the ability to obtain and maintain).
- Desirable Qualifications
- Please include your experience and skills in your resume/CV.
- 8 or more years of experience, or tertiary or formal qualifications in Service Design, Human
- Centred Design, Design Strategy, Interaction Design, User Experience, Digital
- Transformation or related disciplines.
- Experience in product management or digital transformation highly regarded.
- Experience leading design capability in large scale government or enterprise transformation
- environments.
