As a Work Health and Safety Advisor, you will provide trusted advice and specialist support that
enables innovative research, engineering and operational activities to be conducted safely.
Working collaboratively with researchers, engineers, project teams and operational personnel, you
will help create a safe, inclusive and high-performing workplace.

Duties

  • Your Duties and Responsibilities
  • In this role, you will:
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to identify, assess and manage a broad
  • range of workplace hazards, including high-risk activities.
  • Support teams through safety risk assessments and the review of Safe Work Method
  • Statements and Environmental Management documentation.
  • Provide practical, timely and trusted WHS advice to employees, leaders and project teams.
  • Collaborate with workers and leaders to resolve WHS and compliance-related matters and
  • develop effective safety solutions.
  • Apply your expertise across a diverse range of hazards, including human factors, chemical,
  • biological and physical risks.
  • Contribute to maintaining best-practice WHS systems and compliance with legislative
  • requirements.
  • Provide WHS input into Safety Reliability Assurance activities, Safety Management Plans
  • and other risk-based initiatives.
  • Foster a positive safety culture where people feel supported, heard and empowered to work
  • safely.
