Future Air Mobility Systems Program Office (FAMSPO) is an innovative, people-focused
acquisition SPO within Airlift and Tanker Systems Branch, Aerospace Systems Division. FAMSPO
delivers air mobility capabilities that support combat, humanitarian, diplomatic and peacekeeping
operations. Our team works closely with contracting, procurement, technical specialists and
project stakeholders to deliver sustainable equipment solutions that prioritise capability, speed and

They possess a strong understanding of end-to-end logistics, including procurement, inventory
management and distribution, and can apply relevant legislation, policy and procedures to support
the introduction, operation and sustainment of Defence capability.

performance and foster continuous improvement. They understand complex capability
development and delivery, can translate strategic intent into practical outcomes, and confidently
apply governance frameworks to deliver compliant, timely, and integrated project outcomes.

Duties

  • The Role
  • Future Air Mobility Systems Program Office (FAMSPO) is seeking an APS 6 Integrated Logistics
  • Support Manager – Acquisition to support the acquisition, introduction into service, and ongoing
  • sustainment of complex and strategically significant projects that support emerging air mobility
  • capabilities.
  • The APS 6 ILS Manager – Acquisition will lead a small, multidisciplinary team, providing critical
  • logistics planning, management, governance and assurance for state-of-the-art ADF capability.
  • Working under broad direction, responsibilities may include:
  • Developing strategies and plans for logistics management, and implementing plans.
  • Developing and advising on policies, procedures and processes for logistics management.
  • Responding to stakeholder needs and expectations, and engaging with subject matter
  • experts to resolve complex issues.
  • Partnering with contracted suppliers to manage priorities and provide comprehensive
  • integrated logistics support to Defence capability.
  • Communicating materiel logistics objectives through high quality written documentation and
  • presentations for consideration by delegates.
  • Building and sustaining effective relationships, actively participating in teamwork and
  • supporting team development.
