Duties (What You Will Do)

Key Responsibilities Specific Tasks
Strategic ICT leadership Set priorities, translate complex policy and security requirements into actionable ICT strategies; guide executive decision making.
Program and service delivery Oversee delivery of ICT programs and services; manage resources and budgets; ensure outcomes align with Defence objectives.

Governance and risk Provide authoritative guidance on ICT governance, security and risk; ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.

  • Proven experience in senior ICT leadership, ideally in a defence, government or large enterprise setting.
  • Strong strategic thinking, judgement and planning abilities; able to prioritise across complex programs.
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable engaging with executives and cross‑functional teams.
  • Technical proficiency in ICT governance, enterprise design and modern technology practices; familiarity with cyber operations is advantageous.
  • Security clearance capable of being obtained at Negative Vetting Level 1.
