As Property Services Manager you’ll balance day-to-day operations with strategic projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and effective occupancy across sites. You’ll work with stakeholders across the national portfolio, manage national contracts, and contribute to ongoing property projects that support staff and business continuity. Duties (What You Will Do)

Key Responsibilities Specific Tasks
Facilities management and safety Support the department’s facilities management services, ensuring safety and compliance, and optimise occupancy.
Preventative maintenance Oversee development and delivery of preventative maintenance for sites, including building services, inspections, and condition reports.
Project delivery Collaborate with the National Capital Works team to ensure project delivery through the annual Property Capital Works Program.
Contract delivery Manage services delivery in alignment with national contracts and procure goods and services under Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
Stakeholder engagement Engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes, manage relationships, and communicate upcoming works.
Transition and handover Manage transition and handover of projects and business-as-usual activities.
Governance and representation Participate in governance meetings and represent the Department in working group meetings.
Issue resolution and communication Provide issue resolution and communication, escalating issues with departmental impact.
Leadership and development Provide leadership to Property Services Branch staff, including coaching, capability development, and problem solving.
