About the Opportunity
The Director Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Programs and Delivery will provide strategic leadership, policy direction and governance for ASA’s international and domestic technical training and education portfolio. The aim is to build suitably qualified and experienced personnel for the nuclear-powered submarine program, spanning global partnerships and national delivery. You’ll operate with considerable independence to deliver programs of strategic significance, advise senior leaders, and lead multi-disciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks.

About You (Eligibility)

- Experience leading education and training portfolios of strategic or political significance, ideally across defence, national security or nuclear sectors.
- Ability to lead complex international training programs, manage agreements, monitor outcomes and ensure data integrity.
- Strong governance acumen including risk management, compliance, funding stewardship, audit readiness and policy awareness.
- Proven capability to drive continuous improvement and deliver results under uncertainty; capable of coaching and empowering staff.
- Commitment to APS Values, ethical leadership and transparency in decision-making; sound judgement and political awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences and negotiate persuasively on national issues.
