You’re a senior writer and editor with deep experience producing and shaping high-profile reports
or complex, technical publications – ideally in government, regulatory or professional services

environments – bringing clarity, structure and plainEnglish impact to every piece you deliver.
You’re confident managing endtoend writing and editing projects and applying publishing
standards, accessibility requirements and modern editing tools, including AIenabled workflows.
Just as importantly, you’re a collaborative team player and trusted adviser who builds strong
relationships, constructively challenges stakeholders, and thrives in fastpaced environments
where judgement, professionalism and teamwork matter.
You will also demonstrate:
Proven experience translating complex regulatory or technical content into clear, engaging
publications
Confidence partnering with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders to shape
highimpact content
Strong project management skills, delivering multiple priorities to deadline without
compromising quality
A continuousimprovement mindset, embracing digital tools and smarter ways of working

Duties

  • Salary between $127,641 – $149,946 (depending on experience) plus 15.4%

  • The team
  • ASIC’s Strategy and Corporate Affairs Group is responsible for leading ASIC’s communications
  • and stakeholder engagement including internal, corporate and external communications (including
  • media), as well as digital and social channels. Its purpose is to build and leverage strategic
  • stakeholder relationships to drive engagement and protect and enhance ASIC’s reputation. Group
  • Communications leads the Strategic Communications and Internal Communications teams and
  • takes a whole-of-ASIC approach.
  • The role
  • As a , you will: Writer and Editor
  • Lead the creation of ASIC’s written publications, turning complex regulatory information into
  • clear, accessible content.
  • Act as a trusted partner to subject matter experts, shaping content for structure, narrative,
  • clarity, and audience impact.
  • Deliver endtoend writing and editing projects, managing reviews and publication to tight
  • timeframes.
  • Support other team members by sharing expertise and contributing to improvement of
  • processes and ways of working.
  • Uphold ASIC’s publishing standards, accessibility requirements and style guides across all
  • outputs.
  • Leverage modern editing workflows, digital tools and AI to enhance quality and user
  • experience.
