About Torres Strait Regional Authority
The Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA) is a Corporate entity engaged in a wide range of programmes and service delivery
functions for the benefit of Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal people living in the region.
Duties
- Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of Healthy and Safe Communities projects,
- programs, and initiatives.
- Providing well-developed administrative and policy support to the Strategic Policy and
- Engagement Team.
- Preparing and contributing to moderately complex written materials, including briefs, reports,
- submissions and policy advice.
- Undertaking research, data entry, data quality assurance and analysis to inform decision-making.
- Supporting the coordination of corporate reporting and required Healthy and Safe Communities
- program reporting.
- Developing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
- including TSRA Programs, local, state and federal government agencies and local communities.
- Contributing to grants administration and supporting the Grants and Operations Team, when
- required.
- Additional duties as directed by the Project Manager and/or Program Manager.
Eligibility / Notes
- Employment is subject to the following conditions:
- Citizenship – applicants must be an Australian Citizen
- Police check – any new APS employee must undergo a National Crime Check
- Probation – a probation period will apply to any new APS employee
- Security clearance – successful candidates may be required to obtain and maintain a AGSVA security
- clearance commensurate with their particular role requirements
- A ‘ working with children’ Blue Card, or the ability to obtain a ‘working with children’ Blue Card
