Duties (What You Will Do)
| Provide high‑level HR advice and case management on employee relations matters including performance, conduct, and complex investigations. |
| Support workplace change and enterprise bargaining by helping establish HR capability and services for the Employee Relations team post‑separation. |
| Partner with Capability teams and managers to identify development opportunities for individuals. |
| Interpret and apply the Enterprise Agreement and HR legislation, advising managers and staff accordingly. |
| Build manager capability and organisational understanding of employee relations, performance policies, and procedures. |
| Review and maintain people policies to support the Enterprise Agreement and AER operations. |
About You (Eligibility)
- Understanding and application of HR frameworks, including employee relations, performance management, complex health and case management, and formal investigations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to coach, consult, negotiate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage workload, navigate ambiguity, and prioritise to deliver quality outcomes.
- Experience driving governance and process improvements in line with legislation and best practice.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, human resources, AHRI accreditation, or equivalent experience.
- Recent APS experience managing performance, conduct, complex health cases, and formal investigations is highly desirable.
