About the Opportunity
The Office of Parliamentary Counsel (OPC) is looking for an early to intermediate career professional to join the Publications team. You’ll help deliver accurate legislative publishing and editorial work, while developing expertise in legislation and parliamentary processes. In this role you’ll build cross‑discipline connections, work with internal and external clients, and contribute to guidance materials for stakeholders. About You (Eligibility)
Requirements and capabilities to be successful in this role include:
- Australian Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Baseline clearance
- Well-developed administrative support skills with high-level word processing and data entry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established workflows
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word
- Excellent written and oral communication; clear, client‑focussed interaction with stakeholders
- Ability to contribute ideas and support process improvements
- Good organisational skills; ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to read and understand legislation of moderate complexity
- Team player with capacity to work under supervision and guidance
