Duties
- Develop, deliver and report on the FRSC Senior Project Officer Workplan in alignment with
- the broader System Workplan.
- Lead and manage complex cross-jurisdictional projects from design through to delivery,
- ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Provide high-level policy analysis on priority issues, including interpretation of legislation and
- regulatory frameworks.
- Prepare clear, accurate and timely briefing materials, reports, meeting papers and
- consultation documents.
- Support FRSC, its working groups and the FRSC Planning Subcommittee with effective
- governance and secretariat services.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops, including coordinating logistics, agendas, records and
- follow-up actions.
- Deliver consistent, accurate and strategic advice to committee members and stakeholders
- across jurisdictions.
- Manage competing priorities and emerging issues, ensuring timely progression of work in a
- dynamic environment.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and act as a central point for communication,
- collaboration and issue resolution.
- Maintain robust records and documentation to ensure accountability, traceability and
- continuous improvement.
Eligibility / Notes
- To be eligible for employment with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, applicants
- must be an Australian citizen at the time an offer of employment is made.
- An applicant’s suitability for employment with Health will also be assessed through a variety of
- pre-employment check processes, such as:
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal history check, and where relevant, a Working with
- Children and Vulnerable People Check,
- Completion of a medical declaration and pre-employment medical (where required),
- Providing evidence of qualifications (where required), and
- Obtaining and maintaining a security clearance at the required level.
- For this role applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance or hold
- a current security clearance at an appropriate level.
- This role involves occasional travel.
- Mandatory experience:
- Experience with and strong knowledge of the Food Regulation System.
- Desirable experience:
- Extensive project management experience, including management of complex, multi-stakeholder
- projects.
- Experience in regulatory, public sector and multi-government environments.
- Background in project management, policy, science, public health or a related discipline.
