Duties
- The People and Culture Unit (PCU) provides internal support across work health and safety
- (WHS), learning and development, diversity and inclusion, workplace relations, workforce
- reporting, and staff performance and conduct.
- We are a collaborative, high-performing team committed to fostering a safe, inclusive and
- supportive workplace where employees can do their best work and contribute meaningfully to
- organisational outcomes.
- We are seeking an experienced HR professional to lead our WHS and Case Management
- functions. This role is responsible for overseeing a small team and delivering both operational and
- strategic outcomes across WHS, including complex case management, legislative compliance,
- and organisational uplift initiatives.
- The successful candidate will lead the management of complex and sensitive employee health
- matters. They will also drive continuous improvement across WHS systems, policies and
- processes, and provide trusted, pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a small WHS team, setting priorities and fostering a high-performing,
- supportive culture.
- Oversee complex case management, including psychosocial, neurodivergence, domestic
- violence, compensation and fitness-for-duty matters.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Comcare requirements, and internal frameworks.
- Oversee incident and hazard reporting systems, including maintaining accurate records and
- identifying trends.
- Lead strategic WHS initiatives and organisational action plans.
- Oversee WHS reporting obligations, including notifiable incidents to Comcare and
- organisational reporting requirements.
