Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems Branch in Joint Systems Division is an exciting

within CASG. We deliver, integrate and sustain intelligence and electromagnetic warfare
capabilities into a wide range of air, land and maritime platforms and systems.

Our Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Extensive experience in all aspects of project management and/or product management
across multiple lifecycle stages including transition into sustainment, obsolescence
forecasting and life-of-type analysis.
Extensive experience spanning commercial acumen, strategic planning, complex
stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
A demonstrated experience of managing a budget and the multi-disciplinary workforce
required to deliver prioritised outcomes.
A proven ability to lead a geographically dispersed team to achieve quality outcomes in a
high tempo environment.
A strategic thinker who can demonstrate a strong understanding of organisational strategies,
long-term investment plans, and related frameworks, and how these influence the
acquisition, delivery, and sustainment of capability.
Highly developed communication skills, self-drive, and initiative with the ability to influence
others both up and down the management chain to achieve tasks and business objectives.

Duties

  • The Role
  • The Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems (EWIS) Branch is seeking an experienced
  • and high performing product or program leader to deliver critical electronic warfare and intelligence
  • capabilities to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). As Product Director – Joint & Air, you will hold
  • a senior leadership position within the EWIS Joint & Air Systems Program Office.
  • You will be accountable for the sustainment of critical intelligence, communications and electronic
  • warfare effects capabilities that directly contribute to joint and air operational advantage. Essential
  • to success in this role is the ability to lead, integrate, and harness the efforts of multidisciplinary
  • teams.
  • Key attributes include a strong outcomes focus, the capacity to marshal geographically dispersed
  • teams and leverage their specialist expertise, and the ability to build and sustain effective
  • relationships with stakeholders across EWIS Joint & Air SPO, Defence, industry, and other
  • external stakeholders. The role requires a demonstrated commitment to problem solving, with the
  • agility and responsiveness to adapt to evolving objectives, pressures, and priorities. This role
  • requires domestic travel as well as occasional international travel.

  • Security Clearance:
  • Prior to commencement, successful applicants will be required to undergo a psychological
  • assessment and an extensive security clearance process. As a Positive Vetting clearance is
  • required, applicants must be Australian Citizens; be able to account for their personal background
  • for their whole life; and be able to demonstrate suitability to work in a high security intelligence
  • environment.
