Duties
- The key duties of the position include:
- Assistant Finance Managers manage the delivery of effective, responsive and consistent financial
- services to our client division(s) to support the best use of government resources. As an Assistant
- Manager at the Executive Level 1 in the Finance Business Partner section, you will be responsible
- for:
- Actively partnering with key stakeholders (Senior Executives and Managers) to gain an
- understanding of their business, and facilitate cooperation, trust and credibility.
- Developing and coordinating budgets and forecasts based on operational needs of divisions.
- Preparing and presenting timely financial reports, with meaningful analysis that speaks to
- performance, key risks and opportunities.
- Managing and supporting staff in the delivery of professional, high quality, timely and
- customer focussed financial services.
- Contributing to process improvement activities to support the consistent and efficient delivery
- of corporate services.
- Delivery of other financial services as directed.
Eligibility / Notes
- To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian
- Citizens.
- Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to
- obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
